Three habits worth keeping.
This is a practice kitchen, not a cooking timer. Heating and cooking run at 24× real time; the doneness score illustrates texture. At the stove, follow your pasta’s packet timing and taste a strand.
- Stir at the start. Give the strands room to separate as they soften. In this lesson, stir within the first 8 simulation seconds.
- Leave a little bite. The green band is the target texture on the plate. Lift at 62–85 on the meter; the model adds 3 points for carryover cooking.
- Save water before draining. Keep a cup nearby. Toss the pasta in the warm tomato sauce, adding a little reserved water to loosen and bring it together.
