What's new in 2.7.3

• Redesigned dashboard — a hero card opens the chef chat in one tap, and the four kitchen tools are now clear cards with icons and descriptions, plus a Saved Recipes shortcut.
• Recipe Cost tool revamped — add ingredients as tidy rows (name, quantity, unit, price) with easy add/remove; the keyboard no longer covers the fields.
• Even more reliable chef chat — the server now retries a busy provider and falls back to a second model, so fresh answers come from the full chef brain more consistently (on top of the in-app retry from 2.7.2).
• Cleaner formatted answers — comparison tables now keep their alignment (monospace) on older devices.

• More reliable chef chat — a momentary server hiccup no longer kicks your chat onto the offline engine. The app now quietly retries a failed request before falling back, so answers come from the full chef brain far more consistently.
• Tools always load their data — Substitution Smart and Flavor Pairing could previously show "no results" for everything if you opened them right after a fresh install; they now load their ingredient data reliably and recover automatically.

• Premium shows up instantly — when an admin grants you Premium or your Gumroad purchase completes, the app now picks it up right away (on login and whenever you return to the dashboard) instead of keeping showing the old Free/Guest count until the next chat.

• A real chef brain — chat is now answered by a server-side culinary LLM with clean formatting (tables, steps, timings). If the server is unreachable, the on-device engine takes over automatically.
• Free tier + Premium — everyone gets 15 chef messages a day free. Premium ($12.99/month, via Gumroad on the website) raises it to 90 and works with the same account on web and Android.
• Voice input — tap the mic next to the input and speak; your words appear as text ready to send.
• Image understanding — attach one photo per message (a fridge shelf, an ingredient label) and the chef understands it.
• Recipe PDFs — download any recipe as a clean PDF for printing or keeping.
• Live web search — when freshness matters (prices, seasonality, recalls), the chef searches the web on the server and cites its sources.

• Google sign-in fix — signing in with Google now uses Google's recommended sign-in flow, which reliably shows the account chooser on devices where the old one could fail silently.

How to install

1. Download the APK file using the button above.
2. Open your device's Settings, go to Security or Apps, and enable Install unknown apps for your browser or file manager.
3. Open the downloaded file and tap Install.
4. Launch My Royal Chef and start cooking.

You only need to enable unknown sources once. The app runs its recipe tools on your device and only contacts our server for sign-in and recipe data — see the Privacy Policy.
